The sportsworld of Dudelange is mourning for two of its best sportsmen.

They were killed on Friday morning, July 21, 2000, in a tragic car accident.

Sam Besch and Sven Gales were active athletes in the CAD track and field club. Sam Besch, 19 years old, a high jumper for 4 years, with a personal best of 2.06 meters, was a hopeful young talent.

Twice champion of Luxembourg in 1999 and 2000, he also participated in the VIP tournament of the recent Streetball Contest on the "Place de l'Hôtel de Ville" in Dudelange in the CAD-VIP team.

Sven Gales, 20 years, his long time friend, realized the minimum required for the small games next year in San Marino, three weeks ago, on the 400 m hurdles.The CAD track and field club, loses two of its best athletes.
